By Dr. Joe Vitale
I live on Cape Cod, and yesterday I went to a town hall meeting in Falmouth.
I heard about the meeting about an hour before it was scheduled. It seemed to me that the meeting was not advertised very well so that the attendance would be quite small. They were successful on that score. They were also over an hour late for the meeting.
There were about 25 people there, and Senator Kerry sent a young group from his office to answer any questions the audience had in mind. The subject that was prevalent was health care. How could Kerry send such a young group who had no knowledge of the health care bill and just sat there quite flustered? The attendees were quite knowledgeable, quite vocal, and frustrated.
I think if Senator Kerry was there he would have gotten an earful. Democracy in action.

They do not want to advertise the town hall meetings but they do want to say they had one. It has become the big check in the box for these senators. I do not know that Senator Kerry is up to the task.
It wouldn’t be possible for my opinion of Kerry to get any worse than it’s always been. I don’t think he’s smart enough to answer questions on his feet about complicated subjects. Sending ill-informed staff members who don’t know the subject and their late arrival shows the disdain in which he holds voters. I’ve often wondered how he keeps getting elected.
“Winter Soldier” still sells in New England, I guess. I have a hard time figuring out how they keep sending Kennedys up there, especially Toss-pot Teddy.
Massachusetts has fallen so far from the spirit of Lexington and Concord, and Bunker Hill that it makes one want to weep.
