According to this article in the Examiner, FEMA can’t scrape together $400 million to provide hurricane relief in North Carolina (which barely went for President Obama, 49.9% vs. 49.5% in 2008) because it doesn’t have sufficient funds. The Palm Beach Post is reporting that,
“If Congress does not approve emergency funding, the disaster aid shortfall could approach $5 billion for the upcoming budget year, and that’s before accounting for Irene….”
That makes sense, because there are more important things to do with our money and because our wealth must be shared with others — by providing flood aid to North Korea:
In the meantime, the Obama Administration managed to find nearly a billion dollars ($900,000) in aid to the terrorist-aiding nation of Communist North Korea.
The hurricane season is roughly at the half-way point, and more than a few North Carolinians wonder if the federal government is using the assets of the American people wisely.
Will ACORN find ways to enlist the denizens of the Democratic Peoples’ Republic to vote for President Obama? He needs every vote he can scrounge.

It’s uncanny how much you and I have in common when it comes to viewing the shenanigans of the Obama regime. I was not aware of the aid to North Korea but I’ll admit I’m not the least surprised.
Your reference to the lack of disaster aid to the so-called “Red States” seems to be typical of how the Obamanites do business. A drive though the Gulf Coast region reveals that hurricane repairs have been either slow or nonexistant. The same is true for the tornado damages that devastated parts of Alabama, Mississippi, Missouri and Louisiana. Has FEMA been doing it’s job?
The use of political favors to reward constituents isn’t new. Its gone on as long as I can remember. However, the the Obama regimes practice of “foot dragging” when delivering disaster aid to certain regions is a little to much. It smacks of Chicago style politics, a practice I find deplorable.
