I doubt if many people take Michael Moore as seriously as he takes himself — if, indeed, he is serious in his many attacks on big business. Moore is, after all, an entertainer, and entertainers give the people what they think the people want — not necessarily honest facts. Controversy and allegations sell many more [...]

Its a shame really but he did get himself into this “politically charged” situation with all of his flim-flam tactics on healthcare and his ‘economy-destroying-in-the-name-of-Green’ Cap and Trade proposal. How can you trust someone who shows absolutely no regard for American traditions, American institutions, the core of hard-working American taxpayers or the free enterprise system that made this country the riches country on earth.

Obama is a very radical example of Liberalism and while some are not as radical, all Liberals are control freaks! Until they can control every aspect of public life, they will keep trying — its a vicious cycle that will only end when they are no longer in control of Congress (or the White House).

Personally I believe that in most cases, atheists misuse the key phrase in the First Ammendment to the Constitution that calls for what most people refer to as the separation of church and state, (“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof”) — but in this case, it appears to me that they were exactly right.

Up until now, our healthcare has been a matter of individual choice. If you want health insurance you can have it — if you don’t you can opt out. If you like HMOs or public clinics or private doctors or faith healers or any other type of healthcare provider, its your choice.

August 20, 2009 – some highlights of a very newsy day! Cash 4 clunkers ran out of gas! Reverend Obama is preaching to the public: larger government is now the “moral” option. Ted Kennedy is, sadly, dying of brain cancer and as a last wish he wants to undo the law in Massachusetts so that the [...]

Its time — way past time — for us to stop focusing on the details and the cost of the Obama administrations proposals and start challenging the very premise. The premise that government should be allowed to run roughshod over individuals and over the free-market.

It was an unhappy Arlen Specter who left the town-hall-style meeting in Lebanon, Pennsylvania yesterday. He did all he could to keep the meeting orderly: he had his staff rent a small auditorium at the Harrisburg Area Community College that seated 250 people, but over 1,000 showed up; he limited the questioners to the first [...]

Thanks for giving real Americans this forum to express their displeasure with the proposed healthcare legislation — even though that was not your original intent. I’m sure this e-mail will do no more than add another item to your “trash folder” but I feel better about going directly to the government and snitching on myself rather than have someone turn me in for telling the truth.

Since President Obama moved into the oval office the national debt has skyrocketed; unemployment is at a record high in many places; there is legislation pending that, by all indications, will eventually bankrupt the government (technically it already qualifies for bankruptcy) as well as the free-market; a judicial activist has just been appointed to the Supreme Court; the government is in the process of spending $3 billion to buy old cars and then, this morning, a story lead in the Washington Post informs me that: “Dow and S&P Close at New ’09 Highs.”

President Obama is a firm and strong believer in large government and total control. It is imperative that everyone understand what Obama believes and where that belief system will lead the United States.

Imagine being a kid with Tourette syndrome; the muscles in your body and your face seem to have minds of their own, you make noises — sometimes alarmingly loud noises — that you do not intend to make. Perhaps worse than the disease you feel alone; people are scared of you because they don’t understand Tourettes; the adults want to shield their children from you and most of the other kids think you’re weird and funny and, in the school yard, they gather around you and laugh at you and imitate your tics.

If we can get congress to (1) trash that abominable, bureaucratic mess that is working its way through the legislature, (2) start listening to their constituents instead of the Obama-controlled robots that are in charge, and (3) understand that the government is the real problem, we might get some intelligent healthcare reform.

When President Obama visited the UK he was quite a hit, as evidenced by the wall-to-wall news coverage, but they, as well as we, have had a better chance to digest his policies, and it seems to be common knowledge that Obama’s once brilliant aura is beginning to dim. A scathing article in the London [...]

The few facts presented in this post certainly represent insufficient reason to accuse anyone of anything but just from the information in the Metro International News quote above, the other facts about Professor Gates and what we know of Sergeant Crowley, one can start to get a picture of what might have transpired in the Gates house last Thursday. I certainly have a scenario in mind, but it would be inappropriate to share it based on what we know.

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin attacked the Administration’s Cap and Trade proposal in a column in The Washington Post yesterday. She made some very valid, very important points about the problems with Cap and Trade, but her argument was focused on energy production. Here is my “top three” list of problems with Cap and Trade [...]

Picking a president based on campaign promises is just as perilous an adventure as applying for that third credit card after the first two are maxed out. It doesn’t seem like you have any choice and you live on the hope that everything will work out all right.

It’s apparent from President Obama’s weekly radio address (taped this week in Italy) that he does not see the same things that the majority of Americans see. We see unemployment at a near record high, and we see those who believed in Obama (according to every poll) losing their confidence. He sees a recovery act that [...]

Browsing through the comments section of an MSNBC article titled Congress: The centrist threat?, the subject of government-run health care came up. Many people displayed that “feed me,” “heal me,” “take care of me” attitude that shows how little they respect themselves and how little they care about the people who actually pay for their food, [...]

So we have the Honduran Congress, the Honduran Military and the Honduran Supreme Court in one corner — doing what they felt was the right thing for the country — and in the opposite corner we have the OAS, Latin American dictators and almost all the other mostly socialist countries in the world, including our own socialist-leaning president Barack Obama, insisting that the Congress and the Supreme Court of a sovereign country were wrong and should bend to their will.
Something about the whole thing stinks. Perhaps it’s Zelaya’s politics!
