TwiCrimes

So, I’m guessing you’re wondering what the title of this article means. I’m a big Twilight fan, and Twilight fans are called TwiFans. Since Twilight, people have gone a little crazy and become obsessed with it (including me). But some TwiFans are a lot crazier than others, and they commit “TwiCrimes.”

On June 18, 2009 Rob Pattinson (Edward Cullen in Twilight) was hit by a cab while he was trying to get away from psycho fans. The bodyguard screamed at the fans, “You almost killed him!” Rob was then escorted out by five bodyguards.

Rob Pattinson also talks about how fans would scratch their necks so hard that they would bleed. They would then scream at Rob to bite them!

On August 5, 2009 someone attempted to burn down the Forks High School sign. A planter box was also burned, but damage was minimal.

Then, on January 20, 2010 the gas cap was stolen off of Bella’s vintage red truck.

Just a few days ago on January 23, 2010 a TwiFan stole the Swan’s sign at the Swan House (where Bella lives in the movie).

These TwiCrimes are really shocking. Some TwiFans are actually that crazy! I know that I’m not that crazy, but I am a big TwiFan.

So what makes them crazy? Duh…Edward!

The series is amazing — it’s one of the best ever! I loved the Twilight series a lot, and I could read the books over and over! They are that good! I am a big TwiFan!

Y’know, the ironic thing here is that I didn’t even like Twilight that much when I read it. I think a lot of the current fantasy craze is just people capitalizing off of JK Rowling’s success, and to a lesser extent that of the LOTR movies.

I haven’t read the books, but I saw the movie and have to say that it was very good. I also saw a couple of the Harry Potter movies, and I think Twilight was better.

It’s a sign of the times that a few extremist Twilight fans would become twicriminals. And now that we have that excellent new word I’d suggest a couple more — democriminals and republicriminals.

Duh…Jake! No one has the right to be criminals, even for Twilight. Crazy people are crazy, and will find a reason, even when there isn’t one. Love doesn’t have to be painful, seems they are trying to love Edward to death. I guess the democriminals and republicriminals are trying to love us all to death.

The harry potter movies were mixed; a couple were quite good, the rest were at best so-so. The main problem is that the HP stories are just too long and complex to easily set them down in a 2-hour film. However, all of the books were excellent.

I’ve only read the first book and seen the first movie of Twilight. The movie followed the book quite well, which I give the producers full credit for, but I just didn’t think the story was all that interesting or original, in book form OR movie.

wow uncle Tom! I didnt think u actually liked twilight! even better than harry potter? wow.

Well, I guess I made a few jokes about Edward walking a little funny, but the story was more interesting to me than the Harry Potter stories. Maybe I’d feel differently if I read all the books, but I haven’t done that. Yet.

haha. yet…does that mean you’re gonna read them?

  8. Tom |

I keep saying I’m going to read them because everyone says they’re so good. Now I can’t decide which series to read first — Harry Potter or Twilight. Maybe if I keep trying to decide long enough, I’ll end up not reading any of them!

Since you liked Twilight best, movie wise, maybe that should be your first choice? I think the second Twilight movie,New Moon, was much better.More werewolves, which I love. What do I know, though, seems I an wrong a lot, lately.

i thought New Moon was better than twilight. i think u should read the twilight series first. they are one of my favorite series. 8)

OK, I’ll start with Twilight. When I get to it…someday…soon…maybe.
